COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Saddleback Wins Golf Tournament
Ken Dauphin of Saddleback College shot a one-under 71 to help the Gauchos win the Orange Empire Conference golf tournament Monday at Costa Mesa Country Club.
Dan Kupfer of Cypress was second at 72, and Jim Zakhar of Saddleback shot a 74 to finish third.
In the team competition, Saddleback finished first at 372, followed by Cypress (377), San Diego Mesa (388) and Golden West (426).
In nonconference softball:
Golden West 2, Bakersfield 0--Stephanie Viola pitched a three-hitter and had a run batted in for host Golden West.
