Birmingham 4, Garfield 1--Senior forward Kim Watzman scored three goals to lead visiting Birmingham (9-3-2). Erin Saltzman also scored for Birmingham, which jumped to a 4-0 lead.

El Camino Real 3, Palisades 0--Tina Noriega, Kari Lee and Tatum Mahoney scored for El Camino Real (13-2) in a City Section 1-A match. Goalie Alex Telleson recorded her 10th shutout.

BOYS

Bell 3, Reseda 0--Three players scored for defending City champion and host Bell, the top-seeded team. Reseda (10-4-2) attempted only two shots on goal.

Calabasas 5, Arroyo 0--Steve Thomas scored twice to lead the rout of Arroyo (10-8-2) in a Southern Section 1-A Division match at Calabasas (12-3-3).

Burbank 1, Oxnard 0--After a scoreless regulation, Burbank (11-6-2) advanced in a 3-A Division match by edging Oxnard in penalty kicks, 5-3. Goalie Scott Cobb posted his sixth shutout.

Santa Barbara 5, Hart 1--Armando Garcia scored in the second half to bring Hart within 4-1, but the Indians fell in a 3-A Division game at Santa Barbara.
