COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Mt. SAC Dims Mission’s Tournament Hopes, 4-3

Share

Mt. San Antonio College received credit for a 4-3 victory over Mission on Friday when the Mt. SAC tournament game was called after five innings because of darkness.

The game, matching teams that were 2-0 in the double-elimination tournament, was delayed for two hours for the completion of a 16-inning losers’-bracket game.

“This is ridiculous,” Mission Coach John Klitsner said. “We waited 16 innings for them to finish the game before us and then they don’t give us a chance to finish ours. This was an important game and they’re going to let the score stand. That isn’t fair.”
