DIVISION II-A GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Woodbridge 38, Pioneer 34--Visiting Woodbridge (23-5) outscored Pioneer 11-3 in the first quarter and stayed in front all the way despite being held to five points in the third quarter. Woodbridge’s All-CIF center, Deanna Harry, averaging 19.8 points a game going in, scored only seven points as she played despite suffering from the flu. Nicole Schwartz scored 11 of Woodbridge’s first 13 points. Pioneer ended the season 23-5.
