Fire at Auto Body Shop Does $250,000 Damage
A blaze caused $250,000 in damage Tuesday to an auto body repair business and slightly damaged an adjacent apartment building, fire officials said.
It took seven fire companies about half an hour to extinguish the fire, which broke out at Trend Pacific Auto Body Shop, 4908 S. Vermont Ave., Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells said.
There were no reports of injuries, Wells said. The cause of the fire was under investigation. Damage to the business was estimated at $200,000 to the structure and $50,000 to the contents.
