Fresno’s former deputy school superintendent was ordered to stand trial on felony charges of filing false travel claims. Municipal Judge R. L. Putnam ordered Joe Lee to appear in Superior Court April 4 for arraignment. A state audit report into Lee’s activities cited more than $21,000 in questionable claims. Lee resigned from the district shortly before the school board was to consider firing him.
