Pasadena : Dog Leash Rules Modified
City directors have once again revised the city’s dog leash ordinance.
In January, dog owners Cindy Chick and Larry Faulkner successfully argued for a change in the law requiring dogs on leashes. The law was modified to allow dogs off-leash for training.
But the Pasadena Humane Society objected, saying the revision would unleash all dogs and allow dog owners to falsely claim they were training their dogs.
On Tuesday the directors approved yet another change: dogs will be permitted off-leash for training only in Brookside Park on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturdays. The city staff was directed to find ways to expand the times and places.
