The so-called ABC Sting, standing for Alcohol Beverage Control, resulted in arrests at three businesses in Moorpark, five in Thousand Oaks and one each in Fillmore and Piru, authorities said.

The names of businesses where sales occurred will be provided to the state Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, which could impose sanctions ranging from a fine to revocationof a liquor license, authorities said.

Such undercover operations will be conducted with increasing frequency throughout the year because authorities are concerned about the number of establishments that continue tosell alcohol to minors, Carpenter said.
