The San Diego Chargers’ sixth-round draft pick, offensive tackle Jimmy Laister, has left the team and says he won’t be coming back.
Laister, from Oregon Tech, is giving up football because of an irregular heartbeat that has bothered him since he was 16. The heart flutter caused him to leave the team Sunday on the second day of mini-camp and fly home to Klamath Falls, Ore.
