A 34-year-old woman was critically injured Tuesday when her house trailer went up in flames, and authorities said the blaze was deliberately set.
Mary Webb was taken to Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital, were she was in critical condition with burns over 90% of her body, Sheriff’s Deputy Rich Erickson said.
Webb was inside a trailer at Prairie Trailer Park on Prairie Avenue in unincorporated Lennox when fire broke out about 12:30 p.m. Webb’s boyfriend saw the fire and ran inside the trailer, wrapped her in a blanket and carried her outside, Deputy Hal Grant said. He was not injured.
Grant said a young woman carrying a canister was observed running to and from the trailer just before the fire.
