Browns Acquire Receiver Green From Cardinals
The Cleveland Browns acquired wide receiver Roy Green from the Phoenix Cardinals for an undisclosed draft choice Saturday.
Green is the Cardinals’ leading receiver with 62 touchdown receptions. He joined the team in 1979 as a fourth-round draft choice.
He caught 78 passes in 1983 and 1984 and was a Pro Bowl selection each year. Green, 33, caught 53 passes for 797 yards and four touchdowns last season.
The Browns also announced that they had acquired tight end K.D. Dunn from the Montreal Machine of the World League of American Football.
