On the Kitty Kelley-versus-Nancy Reagan score card, count Sarah Brady squarely in the Reagan camp. Brady, the wife of Reagan’s first press secretary James Brady, who was shot in the 1981 assassination attempt on the President, denies Kelley’s assertion in her controversial biography “Nancy Reagan” that the former First Lady is “uncomfortable” in the presence of Brady, who now uses a wheelchair. “I couldn’t have been more furious,” Sarah Brady said. “That was all I needed to know that the book was all lies. I’m familiar with the media and I normally ignore these things, but in this case I had to call ‘The Today Show’ to dispute it.” The Bradys were in L.A. this week for speaking engagements and premiere of a TV movie on their lives.

I told him to take a hike.”

Essentials

What you need to maneuver the L.A. scene: So you weren’t able to escape fast enough from that bomb of a new film you just saw, and now you’re faced with having to tell the producer/director/star/gaffer what you thought. Your Buzz staff has observed that popular phrases to fall back on are: “It’s all up there.” “Hey--congratulations!” “Interesting!” Or grab the person, embrace him or her and excitedly yell, “Aaooooow!”
