Pomona : Probation Office Tour

Four months after moving into their new office, Pomona probation officials want to show it off to the community.

An open house will be held today from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pomona Valley Area Probation Office, 1660 W. Mission Blvd. The event includes a tour of the building, speeches and refreshments. Deputies will be on hand to answer questions about juvenile and adult probation, gangs and narcotic testing.

“We hope to provide insights for the public into the workings of the Probation Department,” Director Bill Lombardo said. “We want people to understand how we function in this community and what our role is in community protection and delinquency prevention.”
