Share

Starting Monday, every high school in the Garden Grove Unified district will have a new principal, in accordance with a district policy to rotate school chiefs every few years.

District spokesman Alan Trudell said the routine changes allow principals “a change of scenery. It gives the principal a fresh perspective. It’s a way to recharge their batteries.”

Beginning Monday, Santiago High School Principal Robert O’Higgins will trade jobs with Pacifica High School Principal Donald Wise. George Willson, principal of Bolsa Grande High School, will move to Los Amigos High School. He assumes the position vacated by Mitchell Thomas, who was named principal of La Quinta High School.
