Defending champions Tom Johnson and Ann Trason retained their titles in the Western States 100-Mile Endurance Run that ended at Auburn, Calif. Johnson, 32, of Sacramento, was timed in 15 hours 54 minutes 5 seconds. Trason, 30, of Oakland, won her third consecutive women’s title in 18:29:37.
