Rangers, Astros Play to 5-5 Tie in NBC Game
The Woodland Hills Astros and Valley Rangers played to a 5-5 tie Thursday in a nonleague National Baseball Congress game at Pierce College.
The game was called after nine innings because of darkness.
Jason Cohen had three hits, Chris Hanna had two and Mike Schwartzer had two runs batted in for the Astros (17-8-1).
For the Rangers, Joey Arnold had two hits and J. P. Des’Enfants had two hits and an RBI.
