Santos, Cordero Share Najina
Jinski’s World and Grab The Green took divisions of Thursday’s Najina Stakes for three-year-old fillies at Saratoga on Thursday.
Racing over the firm Main Turf Course Jinski’s World carried highweight of 121 and Jose Santos 1 1/16 miles in 1:41 to reach the wire a neck ahead of Belleofbasinstreet in the $99,600 first division. It was another neck to the favorite Verbasle, who came from far back in the field of 11 for third.
Grab The Green, who had 114 and Angel Cordero Jr. up, drew away through the stretch to win the $98,800 second section by five lengths. Racing the distance in 1:40 1-5, Grab The Green held off Shareefa, who reached the wire a neck ahead of Irish Linnet.
Jinski’s World, winning for the fourth time in six starts this year, returned $8.20. Grab The Green paid $6.40.
