A chartered airliner en route to Los Angeles from Paris was struck by lightning over Denver on Sunday, suffering a cracked a windshield. Two flight attendants were injured slightly as the aircraft “bounced around in the storm’s turbulent air,” officials at LAX said.

The American Trans Air L-1011 with an estimated 100 people aboard landed safely in Los Angeles at 9:55 p.m., said Dale Harris, superintendent of operations at Los Angeles International Airport. The charter company is based in Indianapolis, Ind., Harris said.

“The windshield remained intact,” Harris said, “and the cabin did not lose pressure. The stewardesses were walking around in the cabin when they were injured.”
