San Diego
A woman who was jogging through a canyon in City Heights found the body of a man who had been shot in the head, police said.
The man, white and in his 20s, has not been identified, said San Diego Police Lt. Dan Berglund.
He was found shortly before 7 a.m., lying on his back on a jogging path in a canyon near Chollas Parkway and Salta Place, Berglund said.
The victim had been shot once in the middle of his forehead and was dressed in black sweat pants, a pink undershirt, a black sweat shirt, black socks and black tennis shoes. He had light brown hair that was cut close on the sides in a “punk-style” haircut, Berglund said.
He was also wearing a pouch of some kind, Berglund said.
Neighbors said they heard some shots about 8 p.m. Wednesday, but police have no suspects, Berglund said.
