2 Hurt in Crash; 1 Driver Cited for Running Red Light

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Two men suffered serious chest and head injuries Friday morning when a car ran a red light and crashed into theirs, police said.
Huntington Beach police said a 17-year-old girl, driving a Toyota Corolla east on Atlanta Avenue at about 6 a.m., ran into a Volkswagen headed south on Beach Boulevard.
The driver of the Volkswagen, Geoff Williams, 28, of Huntington Beach was airlifted to UCI Medical Center in Orange where was treated in the intensive care unit for chest and head injuries. His passenger, James Graham, 22, also received chest injuries and was taken by helicopter to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where he was listed in stable condition Friday night.
Lt. Jeff Cope said the other driver, who was not identified because of her age, received minor injuries. She received a citation for allegedly running a red light.
