A suspect was arrested Sunday night in the gang-related shooting death of one man and the wounding of two others, San Diego police said.

Jemal Guillory, 22, of Southeast San Diego was arrested at 8:50 p.m. Sunday by Officer Wayne Spees, said Lt. Dan Berglund.

Spees had questioned Guillory earlier in the day about the shooting, which occurred early in the morning, and witnesses identified him as the gunman.

Police believe that Guillory shot and killed Kirk H. Marbury, 28, and wounded Rodney Schultz, 20, and Zachary Golson, 31, after an argument between rival gangs in the Cotija Taco Shop near Euclid and Imperial avenues.

Marbury was an innocent bystander in the shooting. Shultz is in good condition at UC San Diego Medical Center, said a hospital spokeswoman. Golson’s condition was not available.

Guillory is being held without bail on suspicion of murder and assault with a deadly weapon. Guillory is on parole, but details about his previous conviction were not available.
