PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Jackson, Shell Talk, but Not of Return
Tailback Bo Jackson, here with the Chicago White Sox to play the Angels, visited the Raider training complex Thursday, meeting with Coach Art Shell and others.
“He just came by to say hello,” Shell said.
Did Shell ask Jackson if whether he is recovered enough from his hip injury to play football?
“Everybody’s asking about that and I want to stay away from that,” Shell said. “We just talked baseball and his family. We talked about his rehab (from a hip injury). We didn’t talk about football.”
Injury report: Raider safety Eddie Anderson (groin), guard Max Montoya (groin) and defensive tackle Anthony Smith (knee) probably will play.
Colt linebacker Matt Jaworski (ankle), nose guard Travis Davis (foot), running back Anthony Johnson (ankle) and tight end Pat Beach (neck) probably will play; nose tackle Tony Siragusa (knee) is questionable and linebacker Chip Banks (knee) is doubtful.
