OUTLOOK
Rancho Santiago’s losses were plenty, especially J.C. Grid-Wire All-American tailback Estrus Crayton, who has departed for USC. Crayton led the conference in rushing with 1,112 yards in 232 carries. Fanti, who set the school record with 16 consecutive completions in a game, returns at quarterback, and Julian is back at receiver. Julian had 26 catches for 375 yards and five touchdowns. Strini is back at linebacker, the position that should be the strength of the Rancho Santiago defense, according to Ogas. The Dons will be without all-conference defensive lineman Oscar Wilson, who has been ruled academically ineligible.
