OJAI : Water-Agency Bill Sent to Governor
Legislation that would create an Ojai ground-water management agency has been sent to Gov. Pete Wilson for his signature.
The bill, sponsored by Sen. Gary K. Hart (D-Santa Barbara), is supported by the city of Ojai and the Ojai Water Conservation District as well as other water purveyors. The aquifer now can be tapped by anyone who sinks a well.
