Pomona Freshman Wins Tandy Award

Sandra Safford, a freshman at Pomona College, has been named a Tandy Technology Scholar and received a $1,000 award.
The educational program, sponsored by Tandy Corp. and administered by Texas Christian University, recognizes academic excellence. Safford is one of 100 students chosen from 4,600 nominees nationwide.
