VENTURA : School Candidates to Speak at Forum
- Share via
A Ventura County political action committee will hold a forum today to hear the views of candidates running for the Ventura Unified School District board.
The forum, sponsored by Democrats United of Ventura County, will be from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Operating Engineers Hall, 1094 E. Main St.
Fifteen candidates are vying for the two open seats on the board. Of those, 10 had said by midweek that they would participate.
The moderator will ask each candidate 10 questions, then allow the audience to ask questions.
The purpose of the PAC, which contributes no money to candidates, is “to bring candidates and issues to the community so they can form their own opinion,” said Pamela Weidemann, the PAC’s executive director.
