COLLEGE FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : UCLA : Bruins Are Ranked Near and Far
Some UCLA players are prominent in national and Pacific 10 statistics, namely:
Split end Sean LaChapelle is ranked third nationally in receptions with an average of 6.8 catches a game. Cornerback Carlton Gray is tied for third in interceptions with an average of 0.75 a game.
Quarterback Tommy Maddox is ranked first in the Pac-10 in total offense, 236.5 yards a game, and second in passing efficiency, 149.6. LaChapelle is first in receptions, and tailback Kevin Williams ranks second in rushing, averaging 101.6 yards.
