San Diego
Police are investigating the shooting of an East San Diego man, officials said.
Jermaine Wilson, 19, was found shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday in the doorway of his apartment in the 4000 block of Marlborough Avenue, a police spokesman said. Wilson had a bullet wound in his head. A small, semiautomatic pistol was found near the door of the apartment.
Wilson was in critical condition at Mercy Hospital, spokesman Michael Scahill said.
It was not known whether Wilson’s wound was self-inflicted or if he was shot by another person, police said. No other details were released.
