PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Look Who’s Throwing Now
Seattle Seahawk Coach Chuck Knox, known for coaching conservative, run-oriented offenses when he was with the Rams and the Buffalo Bills, has opened up his offense this season. “We’re Air Knox now,” Knox said.
Unable to run the ball, the Seahawks, who play the Raiders Sunday, have the fourth-best passing attack in the AFC and the third-worst rushing attack.
Quarterback Dave Krieg, who sat out six games because of a thumb injury, has passed for 687 yards and five touchdowns in three games since his return.
Krieg passed for 376 yards in a 17-14 loss at San Diego last week, surpassing the 25,000-yard mark.
