CITY SECTION ROUNDUP : 3-A DIVISION

Reseda 10, Los Angeles 6--The Regents (5-5), led by a stingy defense and timely special-teams play by John Buckley and Cortez Harris, surprised the host Romans (5-4-2) at Venice High.

Buckley set up the only Reseda touchdown when he blocked a Los Angeles punt at the Roman eight-yard line with little more than a minute to play in the first half. Gerald Cohl gave Reseda a 10-0 lead with a 33-yard field goal in the third quarter.

Reseda plays Crenshaw in the second round.
