Gwynn Wins Fifth Gold Glove

Padre right fielder Tony Gwynn added to his collection of Gold Gloves when he was awarded his fifth last night in a ceremony in New York.
Gwynn was the only Padre awarded a Gold Glove.
In the American League, Cal Ripken finally got the one award that had eluded him his entire career.
“It feels pretty good to win one of these,” Ripken said. “I’ve been after it for quite awhile.”
