Florida State Coach Bobby Bowden suspended starting wide receiver Eric Turral for missing practice earlier this week after other violations of team rules.

Turral’s suspension comes on the heels of criticism by quarterback Casey Weldon that the Seminoles’ deep threats have failed to make big plays this season.

Weldon and three of his Florida State teammates were named to the Walter Camp All-American team. Other Seminoles on the squad are running back Amp Lee, linebacker Marvin Jones and defensive back Terrell Buckley.

Joining Weldon and Lee in the backfield are running backs Vaughn Dunbar of Indiana and Russell White of California. The offense also includes wide receiver Desmond Howard of Michigan and tackle Bob Whitfield of Stanford.

The defense is led by lineman Steve Emtman of Washington.
