Arkansas Coasts to 82-Point Victory
Arkansas Coach Nolan Richardson could have pressed for 40 minutes, left his starters in the game longer and run up the score. But he didn’t.
He played everybody and settled for a 128-46 victory over Bethune-Cookman at Fayetteville, Ark. The 82-point margin was the most lopsided in school history, surpassing a 65-point rout of U.S. International in 1989.
Only two players--both reserves--played as much as 20 minutes for the No. 11 Razorbacks, who scored 18 consecutive points in the second half to take an 83-31 lead.
