NBA : Lewis Scores 31 to Lead Celtics
Reggie Lewis broke out of a mini-shooting slump with 31 points and the Boston Celtics got plenty of help from their bench Monday night in rolling to a 132-94 victory over the Denver Nuggets.
It was the Celtics’ eighth win in nine games, and also their eighth consecutive victory at home.
A pair of Boston reserves, veteran Ed Pinckney and rookie Rick Fox, joined seven teammates in double figures. Pinckney had 17 points, Fox 16. Larry Bird scored 14 and Robert Parish had 11. Both sat out the entire fourth quarter.
