Utah forward Josh Grant, last season’s Western Athletic Conference player of the year, agreed to sit out the 1991-92 season because of a knee injury.

Coach Rick Majerus said that Utah will ask the WAC for an injury-hardship waiver on behalf of Grant, who averaged 17.5 points and eight rebounds as a junior last season in leading the Utes to a 30-4 record and into the round of 16 in the NCAA tournament.
