COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Christ College Irvine Loses in Basketball

Northern Montana, ranked No. 13 in NAIA Division II, defeated Christ College Irvine, 86-79, in a nonconference men’s basketball game Monday at Christ College Irvine.

Andy Carlson scored 24 points and Clay Schwartz added 19 for Northern Montana.

D’Andre Brown scored 26 points--making 14 of 22 free throws--for Christ College.

In nonconference women’s basketball:

Southern California College 70, Pacific Christian 43--Cyndie Lyons and Kristen Bevis each scored 14 points for the Vanguards (6-5), who lead by six at the half before pulling away. Donna Allen, Kristin Hendriecksen and Kandee Almond each scored 10 points for PCC (5-5).
