The eligibility of center Conrad McRae at Syracuse was restored after the NCAA’s eligibility committee learned that investigators talked to him about his recruitment to Syracuse while he was still attending Brooklyn Tech in New York.

McRae, a 6-foot-10 defensive specialist, was allowed to attend Syracuse even though the NCAA years ago was aware of the alleged wrongdoing cited when he was ruled ineligible last month, Robert Sweazy, chairman of the NCAA’s eligibility committee, said.
