SPORTS ON WEEKEND TV : Playoffs Feature Rematches

Rematch is the operative word in the second round of the NFL playoffs on the major networks, while local and cable stations will provide the Lakers, the Clippers, the Kings and UCLA and Loyola Marymount basketball this weekend.

* Pro Football: The Atlanta Falcons, 56-17 losers to Washington on Nov. 10, will visit the Redskins again today on Channels 2 and 8 at 9:30 a.m. At 1 p.m. on Channels 4, 36 and 39, the Houston Oilers, 42-14 winners on Oct. 6, will play the Denver Broncos again at Denver.

Sunday’s action begins at 9:30 a.m. on Channels 4, 36 and 39 when the Buffalo Bills play host to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs won, 33-6, at Kansas City on Oct. 7. In the second game, the Dallas Cowboys play the Detroit Lions at Pontiac, Mich., at 1 p.m. on Channels 2 and 8. The Lions won the teams’ regular-season encounter, 34-10, on Oct. 27.

* Pro Basketball: Both KCOP Channel 13 and cable’s Turner Broadcasting System will air today’s Clippers-Atlanta Hawks game at 4:30 p.m. The Miami Heat will try to become the first of the NBA’s newest expansion teams to win at the Forum when they face the Lakers at 7:30 p.m. on Prime Ticket.

* College Basketball: In telecasts involving the Associated Press’ Top 25 today, Prime Ticket will air (delayed) No. 2 UCLA against Georgia at 10:30 p.m.; No. 5 Connecticut vs. Illinois at 12:45 p.m. on Channels 2 and 8; and No. 14 Oklahoma vs. Massachusetts at 5 p.m. on ESPN. On Sunday, Loyola Marymount will play DePaul at 5 p.m. on SportsChannel.

* Pro Hockey: The Kings play host to the Philadelphia Flyers at 7:30 tonight on Prime Ticket.
