Raider Fans Seeking Somebody to Blame for an Empty Ending
The Raiders faltered again in the playoffs, and the blame rests squarely on Al Davis’ shoulders. His main problem is his bloated, fragile ego. He rarely gives credit where credit is due (Jim Plunkett and Marcus Allen), but he insists on ignoring his mistakes (keeping Jay Schroeder and letting Steve Beuerlein go).
(Todd) Marinovich looked pitiful against the Chiefs, and we know who really made the call to keep him in to the end. Even Schroeder would have been better. Wake up, Al! It’s OK to make mistakes, but true champions correct them.
