Area Players Drafted for Spring League

Four former Cal State Fullerton players and two from Orange County community colleges were selected Tuesday on the second day of the Professional Spring Football League draft in Las Vegas.

Quarterback Herman Evans was chosen by the Nevada Aces in the 22nd round, wide receiver Mark Hill by the New Mexico Rattlesnakes in the 30th round, wide receiver Rodney Gatlin by the Utah Pioneers in the 36th round and running back Earl Williams by the Oregon Lighting Bolts in the 39th.

Nevada also picked former Rancho Santiago College defensive back Scott Carter in the 38th round and and former Golden West College defensive lineman Davin Wright in the 40th.

All players selected have signed letters of commitment with the 10-team league, which is scheduled to open its first season Feb. 29.
