Physical tests on San Diego State center Joe McNaull all came up negative, according to SDSU trainer Mark Haines.
McNaull, who had only 11 points and 12 rebounds during losses last week at New Mexico and Texas El Paso, has been complaining of fatigue for a week. The Aztecs decided over the weekend to have him tested for mononucleosis and strep throat, among other things.
“Joe’s performance is not relating to any kind of illness,” Haines said. “We just had to find that out.”
Haines said Aztec trainers will work with McNaull on diet and vitamin supplements to take care of the problem.
