The 5-foot-9 forward scored 60 points and grabbed 37 rebounds as the Eagles won two lopsided Suburban League games. Hagan scored 42 of those points and had 11 rebounds in a 76-33 victory over Norwalk. Later in the week, she had 18 points, 26 rebounds and 11 steals as her team completed the undefeated week with a 67-46 win over Bellflower.
Other top performers:
Taniko Hilbert, a basketball player, scored 36 points to lead the Millikan Rams to victories over Wilson and Compton. Hilbert scored a game-high 17 points as the Rams defeated Wilson, 58-49. She also was the leading scorer with 19 points when Millikan defeated Compton, 70-24.
Sherise Sandoz, last week’s player of the week, once again posted impressive numbers for the Pius X High basketball team. She scored 35 points and grabbed 26 rebounds in a 105-25 victory over St. Monica. She then tallied 31 points to lead her team to a 62-47 defeat of St. Mary’s, giving Pius X a perfect 4-0 record in the Camino Real League.
