Jerry Tarkanian, the Nevada Las Vegas basketball coach who is leaving after the season, is reported by the Las Vegas Sun to have a “50-50” chance of being named coach at San Diego State, which fired Jim Brandenburg. The final decision would be up to school President Thomas Day, the Sun reported.
“No deal has been made,” Tarkanian said in response. “I’m not making any decisions (about my future) until after the season.”
