Seven County Surfers Move to Third Round
SANTA CRUZ —
George Hulse of Dana Point, Matt Liu of San Clemente and Mark Moreno of Huntington Beach were among 16 heat winners Friday in the $20,000 Nissan Open, the first stop on the 1992 Bud Surf Tour.
Other Orange County surfers advancing to today’s third round were Chris Drummy of San Juan Capistrano, Brett Burch of Mission Viejo, and Chad Navarro and Mark Linblad, both of San Clemente.
The meet, which continues through Monday, was held despite rain and strong winds.
