Fillmore City Council and school board members will hold a joint meeting Tuesday to discuss finances, the sharing of facilities, and traffic safety around the junior and senior high school campuses.
The session is one in a series scheduled by the two panels to improve communication and cooperation, officials said.
At Tuesday’s session, school and city officials will discuss city use of the Fillmore Senior High School pool and a proposed closure of 2nd Street where it passes between two schools. The city’s redevelopment plans will also be discussed, and school officials plan to explain their need for improvement and expansion of school facilities.
Action on the issues will be deferred until a formal meeting of the board or the council takes place, officials said.
The session will start at 7 p.m. in City Council chambers, 524 Sespe Ave.
