Willie Burton of the Miami Heat was suspended for one game and fined $6,000 by the NBA, and Johnny Newman of the Charlotte Hornets was fined $1,500 for an altercation during Sunday’s game.
The fight started when Burton flagrantly fouled Newman with 8:39 to play in the third period of the 126-109 Charlotte victory.
