Women’s Basketball Still Needs Some Help

Share

In response to Lisa Dillman’s article of Feb. 6, “ ’84 Lessons Affect Approach to ’92 Woman’s Final Four”:

It’s so typical of women’s sports. While a huge majority of the public has voted on women’s college athletics with their dollars (they don’t think it’s worth it), Judith Holland, senior associate athletic director at UCLA and chair of the Division I women’s basketball committee, is more worried about how “horrible” empty seats will appear on CBS than what steps to take to fill them with “paying” customers.

Women’s athletics on the collegiate level have an obvious problem, misguided and short-sighted leadership.
