Michelle McGann, with her father caddying for her, shot a five-under-par 67 Friday to tie Missie Berteotti for the lead after two rounds of the Hawaiian Ladies Open.

Berteotti also shot 67 to finish at six-under 138 with one round to go in the 54-hole event. First-round co-leader Kris Tschetter and Nancy Scranton are two strokes back, with Kristi Albers and Brandi Burton three behind.

Defending champion Patty Sheehan shot even-par 72 and was at 144.

Nancy Ramsbottom made a hole in one with a five-iron on the 144-yard eighth hole, but she barely made the cut at four-over 148.

McGann made five birdies without a bogey.

“I was feeling pretty comfortable. My dad kept me pretty relaxed,” McGann said. “He knows my game, he’s real positive and keeps me going.”

Berteotti started the day at one under after making a double bogey on her final hole of the first round. She played bogey-free Friday to tie early leader McGann.

“I made some sloppy shots the last two days, but I’ve played a lot of tournaments where I’ve shot high scores and played great, so I’ll take it,” Berteotti said.
