Bradbury : Help for Duarte Swim Team
The City Council agreed to donate $500 to help the Duarte High School swim team meet a $4,000 payment for using the Duarte city pool through May.
A delegation of four swim team members, a school nurse and Duarte High Principal Albert Scalise asked the council for help last month. Bradbury is included in the Duarte Unified School District.
The fees charged by the city of Duarte are necessary to cover heating, chemicals and lifeguard wages for the period the team uses the pool, officials said.
