SAN DIEGO : Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shootout

A 23-year-old man was arrested Monday night in connection with a shoot-out that left one man dead in East San Diego, police said. Curtis Clyde Oliver was taken into custody three hours after Wyvonne Anthony Conner was found dead in the driver’s seat of his car from multiple gunshot wounds,. police said. The 49-year-old San Diego man’s body was discovered about 8 p.m. and his car was parked in the eastside alley in the 3600 block of Van Dyke Avenue.

Oliver was booked into County Jail Tuesday morning, where he was being held on suspicion of murder, police said. The motive for the shooting is unknown, but residents told police they suspect drug dealing is involved.
